End of the year donation letter sent home in kids’ backpacks.
Janine Sopp & Sarah Porter spoke about DOE budget cuts and related rally at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn at 4pm on Friday, June 10, 2011.

Katherine Tornelli, a volunteer at the Leonard Library (http://www.brooklynpubliclibrary.org/branch_library_detail.jsp?branchpageid=180), announced opening of library garden planted by our kids of PS 132. Library gathering celebration on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 5.30 – 6.30pm.
SLT elections will be held on Monday, June 20, 2011 at PS 132. Four (4) positions are available with six (6) candidates running.
Charlotte Ghiorsa voiced a grievance with the school administation. She would like to start a parent support group.
Art and music clusters may be eliminated due to budget cuts.
Rumi raised a concern about a lice problem at the school. Beth Lubeck explained that the DOE policy dictates that letters regarding lice are not sent home unless the school nurse sees live bugs in the child’s hair.
Beth Lubeck announced that school test cut scores (pass/ fail) will be available June 13, 2011. Real scores available in September.
Danielle spoke about Eagle Street Rooftop Garden program success at PS 132. Unanimous yes vote to spend $10,000 for 2011-2012 school year 13 week program in 2 grades (tbd) classroom instuction. ALL grades going to Red Shed Garden plot & Eagle Street Rooftop Garden. Annie Novak spoke about mapping a garden workshop next year’s gardening curriculum.
